Room of the Year Finalists

Contest Rules
- One entry per room – Only one entry is allowed for each room.
- No people in your photos – Any submissions with people in the photo will be disqualified.
- Appropriate content – All submissions must adhere to Williams College's room decorating policies and be suitable for public display.
- On-campus rooms only – Photos must feature your on-campus room and be taken during the contest period.
- Common spaces excluded – Photos of common spaces are not eligible.
- Roommate agreement required – If living in a double, all roommates must agree to participate in the contest.
- Ownership – All submitted photos become the property of Williams College and may be used in communications materials (print, web, and social media).
- Eligibility – Entrants must be current Williams students.
Prizes
All occupants of rooms entered in this contest will receive one housing point for participating. Winners may have their rooms professionally photographed and interviewed for promotional purposes. All winners will receive an Ephelia prize pack and additional housing points to be used in the next academic year's room selection. Additional housing points awarded through this contest expire once they are used or once the next academic year begins, whichever is first. If the winning rooms are doubles, both occupants will receive prizes and additional housing points.
- First Place: Ephelia prize pack valued at $100 and 100 housing points
- Second Place: Ephelia prize pack valued at $50 and 50 housing points
- Third Place: Ephelia prize pack valued at $25 and 25 housing points

- Contest Opens: September 9, 2024
- Submission Deadline: September 15, 2024
- Finalist Selection: September 23, 2024
- Campus Voting: September 25-30, 2024
- Winner Announcement: October 4, 2024
Photo Tips
Rooms will be judged by Williams Housing staff solely by the photographs submitted by students. Students should not invest money into improving their rooms solely for the purpose of this contest; instead, finalists will be selected based on the innovative and creative ways they have personalized their spaces.
