Fall 2024 move-out (if leaving campus and not returning for the Winter/Spring 2025 terms) is on December 17, 2024, by 12:00 p.m.

Students returning for Winter Study 2025 need to leave campus within 24 hours of their last final but no later than the date above. Items may be left in their room for their return, but some preparations for the winter break should be taken, including:

Take important belongings such as room key(s), IDs, passports, medications, glasses, etc.

Clean and unplug fridges and microwaves (ensure you properly defrost your fridge)

Close and lock your windows

Close you blinds/shades

Turn off your lights

Close and lock your door

End of Winter Study 2025: Saturday, February 1, 2025 at noon

Graduation Seniors are allowed to remain in their assigned rooms, and their move-out deadline is Sunday, June 8, 2025, by 5 PM.

Students are expected to abide by the College's official opening and closing dates for campus housing and to make their travel plans accordingly. Students who are found in College residences outside of their approved housing dates will be fined $35 per day, a reduction of 10 Housing Points per day, and may be reported to the Dean's Office for disciplinary action.
Step 1 |
Clean your space and remove all belongings. Any belongings remaining in the space after check-out will be removed (donated or disposed of), and the student charged for that removal. |
Step 2 |
Clean and defrost refrigerators and microwaves. You will leave them in your room. |
Step 3 |
Required: On the day you leave, you must go to Housing & Residential Education in the Office of Campus Life, provide a check-out signature, agree to check-out terms, and return your key (if applicable) to finalize your departure.If you need to check-out outside of the office's operating hours, you may request an express check-out. An express check-out must be requested through your Housing Portal at least two business days before your departure. By using an express check-out, you accept responsibility for any fees or Housing Points associated with room damage, cleanliness issues, etc. |

HOW CLEAN IS CLEAN? Use this guide to ensure your room and common room is clean and ready for move-out:

Clear out all personal belongings - check all the drawers and behind all the furniture.

Remove all trash and recycling and place it in the appropriate receptacles

Move furniture back to its original placement

Dust all furniture & inside of drawers

Wipe out window sill and dust blinds

Ensure the window screens are in

Close and lock the windows.

Wipe down any shelves

Carefully clean light switches, outlets

Vacuum carpet & Sweep hard surfaces

Wash and clean out the refrigerator and microwave
