Student Self-Service After-Hours Support

Most campus offices are open Monday–Friday from about 8:30am-4:30pm ET, and closed for weekends & holidays.
Junior Advisors (JAs) and House Coordinators (HCs) are trained student residential leaders available to provide students with support.

EMERGENCIES

In a potentially life-threatening medical emergency situation, ALWAYS call 911 IMMEDIATELY (or 9-911 from a campus phone).


If your situation isn’t an emergency as noted above, you’re encouraged to reach out to your JA or HC,

  • If you are locked out of your room, contact your building’s custodian for assistance. If your custodian isn’t available, contact CSS at (413) 597-4444.

    For other urgent but not life-threatening medical needs, call CSS at (413) 597-4444, or you can call 413-597-2206 and select option 1 to reach out for the on-call physician. (An operator will take your message and have the on-call physician call you back. If you do not hear back from the physician within 30 minutes, please call again.)

    If you are experiencing an urgent psychological crisis, call IWS at (413) 597-2353 and select option 2 to speak to a clinician through Protocall, the after hours on call service. You can also call Campus Safety and Security at (413) 597-4444 to be connected with crisis services.

    If it is not life-threatening, but you are experiencing an urgent residential community issue (significant disruptive noise, party over capacity, significant interpersonal conflict, etc.) that cannot wait, contact your HC, JA, or CC. You can also contact Residential Life during regular business hours, or your Area Coordinator during their working hours.
